Just listened to a fascinating, fairly balanced critique of the book The Shack: http://www.thekindlings.com/2008/09/30/the-shack-attackpodcast-live-at-hales-segment-1-of-1/. I personally enjoyed the book and leave thorough critiquing up to great minds such as these.
Kevin Mahaffy Jr. is a child of God, follower of Jesus, husband to Adriana, father to his two daughters, veteran youth pastor, author, speaker, novice painter, Yankees fan, readaholic, Starbucks junkie, Krispy Kreme addict, the 6th man in 1 Direction, and blogger. He also exercises a lot. But he eats a lot too, so you can't tell he exercises a lot.

I think that The Shack isn't a good book for new believers, reasons being tha it changes the biblical view of God. This can be good for more mature Christians because it takes God out of a box!
Glad you got a chance to listen to that podcast. It certainly puts both sides of the discussion in perspective doesn't it??
