Last week Natalia had the great joy and privilege of attending the New York Yankees summer camp. In addition to being named one of the team captains on day 1, at the end of the week she won the Dugout Award which is given to the camper who demonstrates a pure love for the game and cherishes playing baseball for fun regardless of the score or personal statistics! Oh yeah, and her team won the World Series! So proud of our girl!
On Friday the campers went by MLB bus to Yankee Stadium where they got to walk on the field, visit Monument Park, have lunch in a suite, meet Yankee catcher Chris Stewart in the conference room and get an autographed picture, and wear two World Series rings and have their picture taken with the World Series trophy. Wow! What a great day Natalia will never forget!
